Playdough

We love to play with playdough in this house keeps B entertained for ages. We make animals or people, even monsters lol. It’s easy to make and keeps in an airtight container for quite a while. We use cookie cutters to cut out shapes or i have bought some playdough cutters that are great too.

Here is the recipe i use to make playdough.

2 cups plain flour

4 tbsp cream of tartar

2 tbsp oil

1 cup salt

One of our favourites is to just cover the ground with butchers paper (or sheets of A3 paper but that is a bit more expensive). Tape it all down then squirt paint all over it. Like most of Australia it has been a long time since we have seen any substuantial rain, and finally it has arrived.  So the girls are confined inside for the moment.  One of their favourite rainy day activities is to make a cubby house - usually in the middle of the lounge room.  They use all dining chairs, towels and their quilts.  Making it is half the fun as well as playing in it ...
